Festival of Life and Death, Leicester Haymarket Theatre 8th September…
The Haymarket Theatre ‘hub’ FoLaD event on Sat 8th September is now 2pm – 5pm, and it is now very informal, with plenty of time/space for talking and meeting others, besides the on-stage speakers/music/artists.
The event is free – for participation, attending and exhibiting.
The event will be at the Hobgoblin Stage/Lounge, not the main auditorium.
The room layout will be cabaret/lounge style – not formal theatre style.
Testing/marketing of build-up events indicates that audience levels will be relatively low, especially if the weather is fine.
We also appreciate that for many people working in wellness and suicide support/prevention, Saturdays are an important rest day.
There is a small stage, high quality Haymarket Theatre PA sound system with two mics.
Due to budget/technology/privacy considerations there is no projection or streaming. Also other FoLaD events are happening elsewhere at the same time, around Leicester/shire and UK, and internationally.
There is free exhibitor space in and around the Hobgoblin stage/lounge area in the Haymarket Theatre for wellness providers/agencies/charities to have a presence, for roll-up banners, and to offer leaflets and discussion, etc. (Please let us know if you want this.)
The shorter programme means that talks and other performances must be much shorter than originally suggested – now likely 10mins maximum each.
Sound levels and need for visitors/participants to be able to talk and relax mean that music acts must be small/acoustic, not bands. Three songs maximum each.
Thanks for your support and understanding.
Love and best wishes,
Festival of Life and Death
